Kuala Lumpur, 28 November 2025 – M K Land Holdings Berhad (“M K Land”), through its subsidiary Citra Energies Sdn. Bhd. (“Citra Energies”), a consortium between Solar Citra Sdn. Bhd. (“Solar Citra”) and TotalEnergies Renewables SAS (“TotalEnergies”), is pleased to announce the award of RM142.3 million Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (“EPCC”) contract to Atlantic Blue Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Solarvest Holdings Berhad (“Solarvest”). The EPCC Contract is to carry out the development of solar photovoltaic plant under the Corporate Green Power Programme (“CGPP”) with a capacity of 29.99MW located at Mukim Padang Meha, District of Kulim, State of Kedah.
By combining M K Land’s long-term commitment to sustainable growth with Solarvest’s proven expertise in solar engineering and project delivery, the collaboration ensures the successful planning, construction, and commissioning of the plant. This collaboration exemplifies both organisations shared mission to accelerate Malaysia’s transition towards clean and renewable energy.
Chief Operating Officer of M K Land and Director of Citra Energies, Frankie Chai said, “It is a privilege to be able to contribute to Malaysia’s sustainable energy agenda through this strategic collaboration. This project not only strengthens M K Land’s renewable energy portfolio but also demonstrates the value of working closely with strategic allies like TotalEnergies and Solarvest. Together, we are committed to delivering a high-quality solar photovoltaic plant that supports the nation’s clean energy transition while creating long-term sustainable value for our stakeholders, and future generations.”
Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Solarvest, Dato’ Davis Chong Chun Shiong (张俊雄) said, “We are honoured to be entrusted by Citra Energies to undertake this project and appreciate their confidence in our capabilities. With our proven track record in delivering utility-scale developments, we are confident in fulfilling our role as a Solar Power Producer by providing Corporate Consumers with reliable, sustainable energy solutions to support their decarbonisation goals.”
This award further strengthens M K Land’s ongoing collaboration with Solarvest in advancing its renewable energy ambitions. Notably, Solar Citra, previously appointed Solarvest as the EPCC contractor for its maiden renewable energy project—a 10.95MW solar plant under the LSS4 scheme in Kerian, Perak—which successfully achieved commercial operation in 2023. The continued collaboration underscores M K Land’s confidence in Solarvest’s technical expertise and proven capability in delivering large-scale solar projects.
