Petaling Jaya, 22 April 2024 – Ann Joo Steel Berhad (“AJS”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ann Joo Resources Berhad (“Ann Joo Group”), together with Solarvest Holdings Berhad (“Solarvest” or the “Group”), a Malaysia-leading clean energy expert celebrated the successful completion of a 3.3 megawatt-peak (“MWp”) rooftop solar photovoltaic (“PV”) system installation at AJS’ manufacturing plant in Seberang Perai, Pulau Pinang.
AJS appointed Solarvest to provide engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (“EPCC”) services for the upgrade of their existing 0.6 MWp rooftop solar PV system to 3.3 MWp. The system is expected to generate approximately 4040 MWh of clean energy annually, allowing AJS to offset approximately 3,060 tonnes of carbon dioxide every year.

Building on their successful 2020 collaboration on a 0.6 MWp solar PV system in Seberang Perai, Penang, Solarvest and Ann Joo Steel are partnering again to upgrade the existing system.
